Support Services Specialist

The Support Services Specialist position is in the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO), Department of Administrative Services, Facilities and Security Office (FSO), AO Administrative Services Division. FSO manages, oversees, and supports security, emergency preparedness, and space and facilities programs for the AO, courts, and other Judiciary offices. FSO also provides administrative services within the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building.


The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, Department of Administrative Services, Facilities and Security Office (FSO), AO Administrative Services Division (ADM) is seeking a self-motivated, experienced Support Services Specialist to join its team. The Support Services Specialist drives high-level government officials and provides general administrative support in the areas of facilities management in the Thurgood Marshal Federal Judiciary Building (TMFJB). The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, interpersonal, organizational, and the ability to provide excellent customer service. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Serving as a driver for the AO Director, judges, and high-ranking officials. Monitoring, receiving, and routing all building service requests submitted via the ADM mailbox or telephone. Performing routine quality assurance on building service requests. Providing general assistance for the TMFJB parking program. Providing general assistance with meeting room setup.


Requirements

Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions. Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience providing building services administrative support; and reviewing communications, calendars, and arranging meetings.
