Want to work on making it easier to drive in Cleveland? Pile driver apprentices needed now for Innerbelt project!

Pile drivers are commonly found at the early stages of heavy highway construction, playing a lead role in the construction of infrastructure, including bridges, highways, tunnels, dams, sewers and water treatment plants. The 77/490/90 Innerbelt initial construction phase is starting soon and projected to be complete in 2032.


Other work pile drivers are capable of includes:  

Driven & Drilled Pile – Constructing driven and drillepile for support of excavation and all types of foundations. 

Marine Construction – Building, repairing and maintaining docks, bridges, wharfs and other marine structures while factoring in currents, tides, waves and wind. 

Commercial Diving – Working in all marine environments as part of UBC Pile Driver teams when underwater work is part of the assignment. 

Renewable Energy – Installing the foundations and support systems for onshore and offshore wind turbines, as well as providing UBC commercial divers to set subsea cables.  


Requirements

Core Application Requirements

Age: Minimum 18 years old.

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Identification: Valid driver’s license or state-issued photo ID.

Documentation: Birth certificate, social security card, and high school transcripts/GED scores.

Experience: None required, but welding experience is a plus.

Substance Abuse Screening: Applicants must pass a drug test.

Military: Veterans must submit a copy of their DD214.

** VETERANS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR DIRECT ENTRY AND GIVEN 6 MONTHS CREDIT TOWARDS THEIR APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM!**
