Manufacturing Methods Engineering SpecialistContract Position - July 2026 - February 2028 (Maternity leave coverage)Location - Onsite Oakville ONPay rate 40-50$hrShift: Mon-Friday (7am to 3pm)Keywords: #manufacturing.jobs #methods.engineering.jobs #aerospace.industryPrimary Responsibilities* Solumina Plan Management- Create, modify, and maintain manufacturing plans (MBOM, routings, operations), ensure alignment between engineering definition and shop execution* Team center management- Update manufacturing plan, work instructions based on ECNs / drawing revisions* Troubleshoot manufacturing plan/work order-related issues impacting production* Support plan validation and release activities* Develop, prepare, and maintain Manufacturing Plans (MPS/APS), routing, rework schemes and supporting documentation in PLM/ERP systems. Manage the standard times, cost estimates, and planning parameters in the ERP.* Handle document control (drawings, specs, process documents)* Support change management * Assist engineers in navigating and troubleshooting Teamcenter/Solumina workflows* Analyze engineering drawings, models, and specifications to ensure manufacturability and compliance with aerospace standards.* Act as first point of contact for manufacturing issues (routing errors, missing instructions, tooling gaps).* Provide real-time support to shop floor technicians and supervisors* Disposition non-conformances in coordination with MRB Quality support.* Drive quick resolution of production blockers to minimize downtime* Collaborate with design engineering, quality, MRB Engineering and operations to ensure manufacturability and alignment with engineering requirements.* Provide technical support to vendors, satellite sites, and cross-functional teams (Quality, MRB, Planning, Operations, Engineering)* Ensure configuration control and data integrity* Perform other duties as assignedQualifications1. University Degree in a related technical discipline; Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Industrial/Chemical or Aerospace preferred)2. Minimum 3 years prior relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.3. Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, general business, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations4. Previous experience with C.I. tools with the ability to analyze and improve processes to reduce cost and improve quality would be an asset. 5. Strong ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals required6. Strong ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers is required 7. Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills with proven problem-solving ability8. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Teamcenter, Solumina, SAP9. Six Sigma and/or CORE training would also be considered an asset10. A successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CGD
